Discharge Day: TOMORROW! 👍
Please pray for these things…
➡️ Calvin’s GJ-tube: It’s leaking. Yet again. This will be the third time… We won’t know for sure until morning when his complex care team is back in, but he will likely need to go to IR and get it replaced (for the third time). Pray that this can happen right away and he can still come home sometime tomorrow.
➡️ Calvin’s G-tube: Since yesterday morning, it’s draining way more than usual and the liquid is a different colour than usual. His nurse this evening is fairly certain the tube has migrated past Calvin’s stomach into his duodenum. If this is true, he will need an x-ray in the morning and may have to go to IR to get it pulled back to the correct spot. Pray that this also can happen right away tomorrow morning.
➡️ Calvin’s port: His port area has quite a bit of bruising and swelling, but it has been improving over the weekend and is showing no sign of infection at this point. The dressing will be changed in the morning and the team will get a better look then. Pray that all will be well with his port site!
We appreciate all of your prayers as we head into tomorrow. Please also pray for Corey and I that we will continue to trust that God is sovereign over time if Calvin’s hospital stay is extended due to the above issues. Thank you!
