Three Months

Three months old today! Praise the Lord!

Calvin is 2750g (6lb, 1oz) and is awaiting surgery to repair a restriction in his intestines. While they are fixing this, the surgeon will repair his hernia as well (which reherniated since his last surgery). We are so thankful to everyone who prayed for our little boy throughout the week following his original hernia surgery when his body went into septic shock from an infection in his blood. We were told that Calvin likely wouldn’t make it through the day. He was on multiple medications to increase his horribly low blood pressure as well as numerous antibiotics to fight the sepsis. The Lord worked a miracle in Calvin’s life and we give Him all the glory! And we are so very thankful for the incredible medical team He has blessed us with!

Katharina is 2810g (6lb, 3oz) and drinking bottles for most of her feeds. If everything continues to go well with her, she should be discharged in a couple of weeks! Katharina will be living with me at the Ronald McDonald House until Calvin is discharged.
